Spring Celebration and Furman Races

The first Sunday of May, 3rd May 2026, will again belong to folklore, traditions, and the joy of spring's arrival at Nestville Park in the village of Hniezdne !

SPRING CELEBRATION – an event full of music , singing, dancing and folk art – will take place for the eleventh year under the auspices of the non-profit organization Spolužitie zrodené z minulosti.

The aim of the event is to bring closer to the younger generation the beauty and authenticity of folk art, which our ancestors lovingly passed down to us. For the older generation, we want to provide moments full of memories and youthful energy in today’s fast-paced world.

And since the Spring Celebration is also a celebration of spring's victory over winter, there will also be a traditional Maypole raising!

The event will start at 10:00 with a ceremonial opening, followed by a rich cultural program that will not only celebrate the arrival of spring but will also pay tribute to the folklore and historical heritage of our beautiful region .
