The child prodigy, now a young man of Slovak jazz, will perform in our city!

Andreas Varady is one of the most prominent Slovak jazz musicians of his generation, with his own unique style, currently based in Vienna. He gained international recognition in 2010 alongside his early mentors, such as David Lyttle, Martin Taylor, Tommy Emmanuel, and Quincy Jones. He has released five albums, including one for Verve Records, where he collaborated with Gregory Porter, Roy Hargrove, Dirty Loops, and many others.

For over 15 years, he has been performing around the world, with highlights of his career including performances at Blue Note clubs in New York and Tokyo, at the Montreux Jazz Festival, and at London’s Ronnie Scott’s, where in 2010 he became the youngest headliner in the club's history. Andreas has accompanied George Benson on several tours in the USA and Europe and has shared the stage and studio with artists from various styles, such as Lee Ritenour and Mary J. Blige..

In 2024, he released his fifth album, Sunrise.

Andreas will be accompanied by drummer Madeyo Jardim and Viennese bassist Michael Acker.
